Bitcoin ETFs Achieve Strongest Inflow Streak Since April as Market Sentiment Improves
US spot Bitcoin ETFs posted their sixth consecutive day of inflows, attracting $930 million over the streak as Bitcoin holds above $65,000 and market sentiment shifts from extreme fear.
Consecutive Inflows Signal Renewed Institutional and Retail Interest
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds achieved a notable milestone on Tuesday, recording their sixth straight trading session of net capital inflows. The funds added $203.1 million during the day, marking their longest sustained inflow period since April according to data from SoSoValue. Over the entire six-day run, Bitcoin ETFs attracted approximately $930 million in aggregate new capital, suggesting meaningful shifts in investor positioning.
The inflow streak represents a reversal from the broader trend affecting these products throughout 2026. Despite the recent positive momentum, the funds remain down $4.84 billion on a net basis for the year, indicating that while recent weeks have shown improvement, significant headwinds persisted earlier in the period.
Bitcoin Price Breaks Through Critical Resistance Amid Sentiment Recovery
The ETF inflows arrived as Bitcoin demonstrated strengthening price action, trading decisively above the $65,000 threshold. During Tuesday’s session, the asset briefly rallied to $66,700 before settling around $65,802 at the time of reporting—roughly a 2% gain from the previous day’s close, according to CoinGecko. Market analysts have identified the $65,000 to $65,500 range as critical technical support; sustained movement above these levels could signal confirmation for a more durable uptrend.
Beyond price mechanics, investor psychology showed marked improvement. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index advanced from “extreme fear” to “fear,” representing a meaningful shift in how market participants perceive near-term risk and opportunity. Such sentiment transitions often precede broader rallies in cryptocurrencies as investor conviction gradually strengthens.
Institutional Infrastructure and Cumulative Fund Performance
Bitcoin ETFs have established themselves as significant institutional vehicles since inception, accumulating $51.8 billion in cumulative net inflows while managing $80.9 billion in total net assets. These figures underscore the substantial role that spot ETFs now play in providing traditional investor access to Bitcoin. The six-day inflow streak carries particular significance in demonstrating that institutional and retail interest can return even following extended periods of net outflows.
Bitcoin’s momentum matters for the wider cryptocurrency ecosystem, as positive price action and institutional inflows typically drive sentiment improvements across all digital assets.
