Bitcoin Spot ETFs Log Nearly $1 Billion in Inflows Over Seven-Session Surge
US spot Bitcoin ETFs have accumulated approximately $1 billion in net inflows across seven consecutive trading sessions, driven by institutional demand and improving macroeconomic conditions.
Bitcoin Spot ETFs Log Strong Seven-Session Inflow Run
US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have achieved a significant milestone, accumulating approximately $1 billion in net inflows across seven consecutive trading sessions. According to market data tracker SoSoValue, the inflows began on July 14 and totaled $999.38 million by Wednesday, representing sustained institutional interest in gaining regulated exposure to Bitcoin. On Wednesday specifically, spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $68.99 million in net inflows, though this marked a decline from Tuesday’s $203 million as Bitcoin’s price dipped below $66,000.
Macroeconomic Tailwinds Driving Institutional Capital Rotation
The sustained inflow pattern reflects institutional rebuilding of long-term Bitcoin positions through regulated fund structures. Markus Levin, co-founder of XYO, a decentralized verification protocol, attributed the consistency of flows to several converging macroeconomic factors: improving sentiment around overall economic conditions, shifting expectations toward more accommodative monetary policy from central banks, moderating inflationary pressures, and strengthening performance across equity markets. These conditions have collectively encouraged investors to reallocate capital into higher-risk asset categories, including digital assets.
At the time of publishing, Bitcoin traded around $65,729, registering a modest 0.3% decline over the previous 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data. The consistent inflows suggest that near-term price weakness has not deterred institutional demand for regulated Bitcoin exposure.
Market Sentiment Remains Cautious Despite Strong Flows
While institutional inflows have remained positive, broader market sentiment shows signs of caution. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index, which tracks sentiment across digital assets, slipped to 31 on Thursday from 33 the previous day, indicating a decline despite ongoing positive fund flows. This divergence suggests investors are buying into Bitcoin through institutional channels even as underlying market anxiety persists.
The current seven-session inflow streak, while demonstrating consistent institutional demand, remains shorter than April’s nine-session run during which spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted $2.1 billion in cumulative inflows. This comparison highlights that while recent buying has been steady, it has not yet matched the intensity of the earlier peak period. Sustained inflows into spot Bitcoin ETFs signal broader confidence in digital assets, which could create spillover effects benefiting the wider cryptocurrency ecosystem as institutional capital seeks regulated entry points across multiple digital asset classes.
