Momentum Builds as XRP ETFs Enter Ninth Day of Sustained Inflows
U.S. spot XRP exchange-traded funds have demonstrated resilience and consistent investor interest, extending their winning streak to nine trading days with significant capital additions despite challenging market conditions.
Sustained Investor Appetite for XRP Products
Institutional and retail investors continue to show strong confidence in XRP through exchange-traded fund products, with U.S. spot XRP ETFs extending their inflow momentum to nine consecutive trading days through Aug. 25. According to SoSoValue data, as reported by U.Today, the funds received $23.87 million in new capital on that date alone, demonstrating persistent buying interest even as broader cryptocurrency markets faced headwinds.
This latest day of gains brings the cumulative total of net inflows into U.S. spot XRP ETFs to an impressive $1.6 billion since inception, with the funds managing $1.46 billion in total net assets. The sustained inflow pattern marks a significant shift in investor behavior, particularly following a relatively quiet first half of August when daily flows fluctuated near zero.
ETF Leadership and Accelerating Flows
Bitwise’s XRP ETF continues to lead the category, attracting $11.02 million on Aug. 25, followed by Franklin Templeton’s offering with $6.39 million in daily inflows. Grayscale’s XRP ETF and Canary Capital each contributed to the positive momentum with $4.28 million and $2.19 million respectively, while 21Shares saw neutral activity. This distribution of flows across multiple providers suggests broadening institutional participation rather than concentration in a single fund.
The acceleration became pronounced from Aug. 18 onward, with the five-trading-day period from Aug. 20-25 attracting approximately $77.5 million in cumulative inflows. This represents a notable departure from the relatively stagnant conditions during the month’s opening weeks, when the funds frequently recorded zero net flows. Over the previous week alone, the products accumulated roughly $39.8 million in net inflows, signaling strengthening investor demand.
Market Context and Price Momentum
The consistent inflows come as XRP has demonstrated considerable strength in the broader market. According to CoinGecko data, XRP traded at $1.44 with a 40% gain over the preceding two weeks. This price appreciation has coincided with the renewed institutional and retail interest flowing through ETF channels, suggesting a virtuous cycle of positive sentiment and market participation.
The resilience of XRP ETF inflows despite a broader crypto market sell-off on Aug. 25 underscores the unique appeal of XRP as an alternative asset and reflects growing confidence in its medium-term prospects among a diversifying investor base. This sustained momentum in ETF products indicates strong foundational support for XRP’s longer-term development.
