Robinhood Chain Surpasses Ethereum and Base in Daily Transaction Fees Just Two Months After Launch
Vlad Tenev's blockchain network has rapidly established itself as a major player in the crypto ecosystem, driven by explosive growth in decentralized finance applications and meme tokens paired with traditional assets.
Robinhood Chain Makes Its Mark: Overtaking Ethereum in Daily Fees
In a striking display of rapid adoption, Robinhood’s recently launched blockchain has surpassed both Ethereum and Base in daily transaction fees just two months after going live. Launched on July 1, the network demonstrates powerful market appetite for platforms that combine meme tokens with tokenized stock offerings.
Unprecedented Velocity in Revenue Growth
The metrics paint a compelling picture. Over the past 30 days, Robinhood Chain generated $3.13 million in protocol revenue—the third-largest amount across all blockchains, behind only Canton at $49 million and Tron at $26 million. This positions it ahead of both Base, which accumulated $2.89 million, and Ethereum, which captured $2.47 million during the same period.
The competitive gap widened dramatically on a single-day basis. Robinhood Chain collected $495,477 in daily fees compared to $71,703 for Base and $25,746 for Ethereum. When measuring application-layer revenue over 24 hours, Robinhood Chain apps earned $1.84 million, placing second only to Solana’s $5.03 million and ahead of Ethereum’s $1.14 million. This represents a significant reallocation of user and developer activity within the broader ecosystem.
Network Growth Accelerates as Pons Drives Momentum
The chain’s total value locked has grown to $727.15 million following a 7.4% daily surge, with $2.32 billion in bridged capital and stablecoin reserves reaching $769.44 million—up 7.8% for the week. Onchain activity remains robust, with decentralized exchanges processing $1.19 billion in volume over 24 hours and perpetual futures markets adding $189.86 million in trading activity.
Real-world asset tokenization has emerged as a significant growth driver. The network has set consecutive daily RWA trading records, with each session processing approximately $115 million—nearly double the $60 million peaks recorded in July. The total RWA market cap on the chain has reached $149.22 million.
The token launchpad Pons has become the primary engine of this growth trajectory. The platform generated $208.82 million in 30-day DEX volume and achieved record Saturday revenue of $690,000—an annualized rate exceeding $64 million. The PONS token has surged to $0.3591, posting a 46% single-day gain and 499% weekly increase, with a market capitalization of $254.89 million on $79.58 million in daily volume. The aggressive tokenomics—approximately 80% of revenue flows to buybacks and burns—create direct alignment between platform growth and token price appreciation.
Robinhood Chain’s rapid ascent to major blockchain status underscores the market’s appetite for Layer 1 platforms combining retail accessibility with advanced onchain finance capabilities—a shift with significant implications for competition and capital flows across the crypto ecosystem.
