When these figures are converted to dollar terms using XRP’s price of $1.4027 at the time of measurement, the gap widens dramatically: AI systems allocated approximately $293.16 to XRP-based transactions versus $602.27 for RLUSD operations—representing a 105% preference margin for the stablecoin. This sustained divergence marks a significant shift in how machine-generated activity is flowing across the network.
Hard-Coded Budgets Meet Cryptocurrency Volatility
The shift reflects a fundamental challenge facing automated trading systems in volatile cryptocurrency markets. Machine-learning algorithms performing routine micropayments—averaging just $0.0035 per transaction for services like API access and server capacity—operate within strict budgetary frameworks denominated in fiat currency.
