Bitcoin Spot ETFs Rally With $233M Daily Inflows as Institutional Demand Rebounds

Institutional Buyers Return to Bitcoin ETFs

US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds experienced their sharpest daily inflow in more than three weeks on Thursday, drawing $233.1 million in net purchases. The resurgence was led by BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust, which captured $183.4 million of the total—representing over three-quarters of the day’s combined inflows. Bitwise’s BITB and Fidelity’s FBTC followed with $20.7 million and $15.5 million respectively, while additional funds contributed smaller amounts to the broader institutional appetite for on-chain Bitcoin exposure.

Weekly and Monthly Recovery Signals

Thursday’s inflow surge has moved Bitcoin ETFs into positive territory for the week, with cumulative net inflows now standing at $203.84 million. If outflows remain moderate on Friday, the funds are positioned to record their fourth consecutive week of positive performance. July itself has now accumulated $437.8 million in net inflows, putting the month on track to reverse a two-month period that saw multibillion-dollar outflows from the same instruments. Bitcoin itself traded near $64,338 at the time of reporting, having declined 1.8% over the seven-day period.

Ether ETFs Show Modest Strength

Spot Ether exchange-traded funds also posted gains Thursday, attracting $13.3 million in net inflows. However, Ethereum’s underlying asset recorded a mixed month overall, with the funds experiencing losses on just five of July’s trading sessions—a marginal improvement over June’s four positive days.

The renewed inflows into Bitcoin ETFs reflect a potential inflection point for institutional capital after weeks of redemptions, signaling that large asset managers and institutions may view current price levels as attractive entry points for spot Bitcoin holdings.
