Record Daily Issuance Marks Sustained Growth Momentum

Ripple deployed $133.3 million in newly minted RLUSD tokens to the XRP Ledger on August 3, according to Ripple’s stablecoin tracker. The substantial issuance reflects mounting institutional and market appetite for the stablecoin as a core settlement asset within the ecosystem. This deployment infuses fresh capital into the XRPL network, where RLUSD has become instrumental across payments, decentralized finance infrastructure, and institutional settlement workflows.

The recent issuance trajectory underscores persistent momentum. In the seven days prior, Ripple minted $185 million in RLUSD, while 30-day issuance reached $309 million—a cadence that demonstrates consistent, substantial expansion of the stablecoin’s role within the network. Total RLUSD circulating on the XRP Ledger has now surpassed $850 million, standing at $851 million, establishing the asset as a cornerstone of network liquidity infrastructure.

Institutional Infrastructure and Multi-Chain Integration

To facilitate this growth, Ripple introduced Ripple Mint last month, a platform designed to streamline how institutions interact with RLUSD. The service enables qualified users to mint and redeem stablecoin directly, bridge liquidity across blockchain networks, and maintain end-to-end visibility over transaction flows. By permitting integration with proprietary systems and internal workflows, Ripple Mint reduces operational friction for treasury and settlement teams.

The upcoming XRP Ledger Lending protocol represents a significant evolution for the network. Once operational, it will allow institutions and projects to lend and borrow both XRP and RLUSD, anticipated as a major unlock for on-chain capital efficiency and liquidity provisioning.

Notably, RLUSD utility is expanding beyond the XRP Ledger. Flare announced that XRP holders can now use wrapped XRP (FXRP) as collateral to borrow RLUSD on Ethereum through Morpho Blue, with an isolated FXRP/RLUSD market enabling borrowing while preserving XRP exposure. Sentora, which manages a $280 million RLUSD lending pool, approved FXRP as collateral, extending stablecoin credit access to the XRP community.

Developer Access and Network Expansion

Supporting ecosystem growth at the infrastructure layer, Ankr deployed public RPC services to the XRP Ledger, granting developers direct network access without requiring them to operate full node infrastructure. This step lowers barriers to entry and accelerates developer onboarding and application deployment.

Collectively, these developments signal a maturing infrastructure around RLUSD and XRP. Accelerating issuance volumes, institutional-grade operational tooling, and cross-chain expansion across Ethereum and Flare position Ripple’s stablecoin as an increasingly viable settlement vehicle for institutions seeking digital asset alternatives. The convergence has implications for XRP adoption and on-chain capital provisioning across the broader digital asset market.
