Major Industry Gathering at White House

Ripple has secured participation in an upcoming White House meeting convening key figures from the cryptocurrency and blockchain industries, according to Semafor. The blockchain company will attend alongside other major industry players including Coinbase, a16z, Chainlink, and Paradigm. The gathering represents another instance of high-level engagement between the administration and the crypto sector.

The meeting will include significant representation from U.S. financial regulators. Securities and Exchange Commission Chair Paul Atkins and Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chair Michael Selig are expected to be present. According to Politico’s reporting, the White House structured the gathering to address cryptocurrency and prediction market technologies, indicating the administration’s interest in substantive policy dialogue spanning both industry innovation and regulatory oversight.

Ripple’s Rising Prominence in Washington Policy

Ripple has emerged as an increasingly visible participant in high-level policy conversations. Earlier in 2025, the company’s Chief Executive Brad Garlinghouse received an invitation to the White House Digital Assets Summit, the administration’s inaugural presidential-level crypto forum. Garlinghouse joined a carefully selected group of crypto industry leaders, including Coinbase’s Brian Armstrong, Robinhood’s Vlad Tenev, and Strategy’s Michael Saylor. This limited attendance highlighted Ripple’s status among the industry’s most prominent voices in policy discussions.

Beyond summits, Ripple maintained a documented presence at the White House in July in connection with the GENIUS Act, stablecoin-focused legislation. This engagement demonstrates the company’s sustained participation across multiple policy initiatives affecting the cryptocurrency sector.

Navigating Access and Advancing Regulatory Clarity

Ripple’s path to White House access has not been entirely smooth. During the previous year, tensions briefly surfaced when a Ballard Partners representative handling Ripple’s lobbying operations failed to follow established protocols for White House access. Although this incident created friction with the administration, the company was not permanently excluded from White House engagement and has continued to maintain its ability to participate in policy discussions and forums.

The regulatory framework governing cryptocurrency remains a central focus for both industry and policymakers. The CLARITY Act, championed by White House officials as critical legislation, did not advance to a final Senate vote before the August recess. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has scheduled a procedural vote for September 15. White House crypto adviser Patrick Witt recently contested Thune’s increasingly negative assessments regarding the bill’s viability. Senior administration officials have actively participated in negotiations with Republican senators over the legislation’s most contentious provision, indicating sustained efforts to advance comprehensive crypto regulatory clarity.

Ripple’s sustained White House access positions XRP within the regulatory and legislative discussions that will define mainstream crypto adoption.
